A toner cartridge which is also called laser toner is the consumable component of a laser printer. Toner cartridges composed of toner powder, a fine and dry mixture of plastic particles, carbon and black or other coloring agents which make the actual image on the paper. Toner cartridges are meant for laser printers and ink cartridges are designed for inkjet printers. Ink is a liquid form of pigmentation and toner is a fine powder. Each plays a very different role in the process of printing. The benefit of Pigment ink is that it tends to resist water and UV light better than dye-based ink, and is able to resist fading for up to many years.
